BNP MPs join JS

THE BNP lawmakers joined the ongoing parliament session Sunday afternoon.

The much-expected move came following a decision of BNP Parliamentary Party (BNPPP).

The BNPPP sat Sunday afternoon and decided to join the ongoing JS session.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia presided the meeting at the parliament building where lawmakers of Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) were also present.

The BNP-led alliance legislators could have risked losing their parliamentary membership if they continued to boycott the House till the end of the current session.

The eighth session of the ninth parliament is going on and as per the previous decision it will continue until April 15.
