At least two BNP activists were killed as they engaged in a clash with Awami League (AL) men over establishing supremacy in Sadar upazila of Munshiganj this morning.

The deceased were identified Shahjahan Khan, 40 and his father-in-law Almas Bapari, 60.

Fifteen others also sustained injuries in the clash that took place at Jajira village around 6 in the morning, our correspondent reports quoting Munshiganj police chief Biswas Afzal Hossain.

Afzal Hossain confirmed the incident and said, “The clash occurred between two rival groups led by Awami League’s Amir Hossain Gazi and BNP’s Shahjahan Khan over establishing supremacy in the area.”
