>NASIMA, a teenage mother, had no clue about the ill motive of the two ayas at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) while handing over her 24-day-old sick son Rimon to them for medical treatment, The Daily Star reports.
The two ayas, who work at the DMCH on temporary basis, tricked Nasima and took her fingerprint on a paper, which reads that Nasima sold her son to them for Tk 6000.

Nasima said she took her son Rimon to the DMCH emergency unit around 4:00pm on Saturday fearing that he had been suffering from jaundice.

“Two ayas named Nurjahan and Lucky approached me while I was waiting near the entrance of the emergency unit. They enquired about my son’s physical condition,” Nasima told The Daily Star after getting back her son last night after 27 hours.

“They told me that only adults are treated at the DMCH and there is a hospital for children nearby,” said Nasima’s mother Ayesha who accompanied her daughter to the hospital from Gazipur.

The two took Nasima, her mother and sister Salma to a nearby two-storey building and told them that the doctor would come later.

“One of the ayas told me that we have to sign a paper for getting my grandson treated there for free,” Ayesha said, adding that she and Salma signed the paper while Nasima put her fingerprint on it.
