Biman also has purchase rights for two additional 737s in a deal signed at the US Department of Commerce headquarters in Washington, they said in a joint statement.

The average list price of the 737-800 is 74.75 million dollars.

The Bangladeshi airline in April announced an order for four 777-300ERs (extended range) and four 787-8s Dreamliners with purchase rights for four more of each model type.
The purchase of Boeing airplanes represents the largest capital expenditure in the country’s history, they said.
Begun as a government-owned national carrier in 1972, Biman became Bangladesh’s largest public limited company in 2007.
“Today marks a progressive step forward for Biman,” said MA Momen, managing director and chief executive of Biman.
