>Indo-Bangla train deal to be signed Apr 10-11

>BANGLADESH and India is going to sign a supplementary deal in Dhaka by April 11 to resume train service between the two countries on Pahela Baishakh, 42 years after it was discontinued.
Officials here said the deal will be signed for a three-year term and the parties will be given power to scrap it in a three months’ notice.
The “Moitree (friendship) Express” will run between the Cantonment station in Dhaka and the Chitpur station in Kolkata through Darshana border.
The service will be open for people from its first trip on April 14, the Bangla New Year, ATKM Ismail, additional secretary of communications ministry, said yesterday. (Click for full report)
